Dimitris Papaefstathiou is a logistics and supply chain professional with extensive experience in freight forwarding, customs operations, maritime transport, and global account management. He currently serves as Freight Forwarding & Customs Supervisor at Hellas Gold S.A., overseeing rate negotiations, export cargo flows, and customs compliance for containerized and bulk shipments.
Previously, he held multiple positions at Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), including Sales Executive, Sales Assistant, and roles in Military Cargo approvals, Global Targeting Center, Virtual Audit, and Global Accounts. He has led teams, managed key international freight forwarder accounts, handled special cargo categories (reefers, IMO, OOG, waste), and ensured compliance with international regulations and anti-smuggling frameworks.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and studied abroad at Umeå University in Sweden, where he excelled in international communication and business competitions.
Dimitris speaks Greek (native), English (C1), and German (B1), and has strong skills in negotiation, leadership, teamwork, and performance under pressure. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and kick-boxing.
