Dimitris Lakasas

Dimitrios Lakasas has extensive professional experience and currently serves as both the Vice Chairman of the Board and CEO of Olympia Electronics S.A. Founded in 1979 by Nikolaos Lakasas and Panagiotis Arvanitidis, Olympia Electronics is one of the oldest and largest industries of electronic and electrical materials in Greece. The company is dedicated to embracing cutting-edge technologies, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional quality and value for money in its products. Today, Olympia Electronics ranks among the top ten in Europe and extends its reach globally, exporting to 72 countries worldwide. Dimitrios holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Sheffield (1995-1996) and a BSc in Economics and Marketing from CITY College – University of Sheffield (1991-1994). He has been actively involved in various institutional roles, including President of the Northern Greece Exporters Association from 2010 to 2014 and President of the Alexandria Innovation Zone from 2014 to 2015. He has also served as a lecturer and visiting professor at prominent Greek universities and contributed to Olympia Electronics’ recognition within the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). Dimitrios completed his military service in the Greek Army as an Explosives Warehouse Keeper. He is proficient in IT systems and has developed strategic plans for major entities. Additionally, he is an author. His interests include mountain hiking, reading, history, geostrategy, geopolitics, international trade relations, theater, and cinema.
