Dimitris Gavalas is an Associate Professor in Shipping and Port Supply Chain, with extensive teaching and research experience across institutions in Greece, China, and France. His expertise spans maritime industry, supply chain, and international trade. He has supervised numerous PhD and postdoctoral theses and authored a plethora of peer-reviewed journal articles.

He serves on editorial boards, reviews for leading academic journals, and actively contributes to international conferences and research networks. His work focuses on advancing strategic thinking, innovation, and sustainability in shipping, transport, and the Blue Economy.
