Colonel Fotios Ioakeimidis
Director of Operations and Support, Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation
Colonel Fotios Ioakeimidis graduated in 1989 from the Hellenic Army Academy as an Engineer Second Lieutenant.
He has served in key positions within the Hellenic Army General Staff, overseeing the preparation of studies for armament programs in the Engineering Directorate, managing EU-funded and PPP programs in the Defense Planning and Programming Directorate, and monitoring infrastructure projects in the Infrastructure and Environment Directorate.
From 2017 to 2019, he served at the Directorate for the Armed Forces Real Estate Development as Head of Development and Asset Management and from 2020 to 2023 at the Logistics Support Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
Since May 2024, he has been with the Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation (HCDI), where he holds the position of Director of Operations and Support.
He holds a degree in civil engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a master’s degree in environmental governance and sustainable development from Panteion University.
