Apostolos Kamarinakis, Rear Admiral (Rtd) of Hellenic Coast Guard – Civil Engineer (NTUA), is specialized in the Management and Development of Seaports.
He is President of the Hellenic Ports Association, Secretary General of Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chambers & Βusiness Τransport Αssociation, Μember of the Board of Directors of the Elefsina Port Authority S.A. and Member of Board of Directors of the Hellenic Recovery Recycling Corporation (HERRCO).
He is also the Representative of Greek Ports in the General Assembly and the Executive Committee of the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO).
He has served as Director of Ports and Port Development, Director of Port Policy, Head of Merchant Ships Inspection at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Managing Director of Igoumenitsa Port Authority S.A., as well as Executive Director of the National Port Development Center.
He has been a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1978.
He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), postgraduate studies at the University of Swansea Wales and a postgraduate specialization in Port Management and Development at the French public company ACTIM (Agence pour la Cooperation Technique, Industrielle et Maritime) as Port Development Engineer.
